Royce Da 5’9 joined The Breakfast Club and spoke on the ending of Slaughterhouse. In the interview DJ Envy brought up the IG disagreement and the beginning of the disagreement. The separation began with their project “The Rise & Fall of Slaughterhouse” and this project was to get the group off their current label and announce that the group is over! The goal was to make another Slaughterhouse album with merch, however the planned changed.
Slaughterhouse took a turn and when Joe Budden stated he wasn’t going to rap anymore as he's retired. 50 Cent then approaches the group with a deal that they collectively didn't agree on and took another route. Not too long after, the group separated. Royce Da 5’9 spoke on how he was blindsided by the actions of the group as it was announced by Crooked I and Joell Ortiz to the world and wasn’t told behind the scenes. Overall, Royce Da 5’9 was disappointed, however would never speak ill on any of his former group members. “It’s still nothing but love”. -Royce Da 5’9
