DaBaby Talks Return to Music, Being "Canceled", Love for Lizzo, Kanye West

Today on The Breakfast Club Da Baby made his return to show after the release of his new joint project with NBA Youngboy. Since the last time we saw Da Baby a lot has happened, today he addressed everything from the Rolling Loud Incident, the bowling lane Incident, working with Kanye West, if he has spoken to Megan Thee Stallion + more!

It's been almost a year since the now infamous 2021 Rolling Loud Da Baby performance that had the rapper getting "canceled" on the internet. Addressing what happened Da Baby explained that he didn't mean it the way people were taking it and that the clips that get posted online when watched by people who weren't there are easy to be taken out of context.

"If I didn't mean what you think I meant, what you want me to do, go look myself in the mirror and say you did mean that and be like you did mean that you don't like gay people, I'm not tripping on gay people, I'm not tripping at all, you see what I'm saying if I say what I say to get people to raise their cellphones and its misinterpreted by people who watch a 5-second clip at home you not supposed to understand what's going on, you not supposed to be able to digest a clip that was shortened or altered with a narrative to go along with it, it's going to do what it does"

Most recently during Super Bowl Weekend out in Los Angeles there was a video that went viral online of Da Baby getting into an altercation in a bowling alley with Dani Leigh's brother. Explaining that he heard the situation was going to be rough for him he also expressed that he does not play when it comes to his children.

"The incident got into me, I don't know how the world work today, but I'm still scared of that situation now, I heard it was going to be rough for me so I don't really want to speak on it, n---- might pop up downstairs, I stayed away from L.A for some time behind that too, but I sure hope I don't gotta run into him again. It's unfortunate I would expect that side, how I rock behind this that's now how we play, I ain't finna play with nothing tied to my kid, my side we don't rock like that"

Lastly, everyone wants to know if the rapper and Megan Thee Stallion have made amends or have spoken recently and while he said there hasn't been any type of communication between the two at least for Da Baby it's all love as he still plays their songs together at his shows.

"I still do all the songs we did together, I ain't one of those types of N----- man, I'm still going to do cry baby, I'm still going to do cash s---, ima still ask how many Megan Thee Stallion fans in the building. We ain't spoke, what we gotta talk about just send the song with the open verse let's go up, let's get money".
