The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that NBA Youngboy was released from custody ahead of his trial after posting bond of $500,000 in cash.
The rapper, 22, will be on home confinement at his house in Utah from where he will be monitored.
He was arrested in March following chase in Los Angeles. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native is accused of felon possession of a firearm, as well as having a firearm on his person that was not registered to him.
His new album Sincerely, Kentrell debuted in the top spot on the Billboard 200 in late September.
