Blac Chyna Questionable 92nd Oscars Attendance Explained

The Academy Awards is a time for the elite of Tinseltown to align. A-listers come together to represent the highest honor in filmmaking and who else can symbolize Hollywood greatness better than Blac Chyna?

If you watched the red carpet debut of the 92nd Oscars, you might have seen amazing talents like Billy Porter, Natalie Portman, Robert DeNiro and so many more. But one person who made an odd appearance was social media star, Blac Chyna. Yes, Rob Kardashian's Blac Chyna. She donned a gorgeous black low Dona Matoshi gown that aligned her with stars who were just as fabulous. Regardless, her presence was still questionable.

Based on an Instagram video, between making club appearances and posting scanty sponsored pics on social media, Chyna found time to tag along with Grammy-nominated producer Christopher Trujillo.

However, aside from being a plus one, the stripper-turned-socialite believes she deserves to be in the building with the best of the best in show business. So while everyone's asking, "Why is she here," Chyna's asking, "Why not?"

Apparently, it's her great acting skills from her Zeus reality TV show (and possibly her relationship with Kardashian) that makes her think she's just as respectable as the Kathy Bates' of the world. In Angela's world, just being a part of the entertainment industry is grounds to be accepted to the Academy Awards. We can also thank her for using this opportunity to take a stand against racism. Yep, you read that correctly.

A rep in her camp told TMZ that racism is the only reason she wasn't fully welcomed at the Oscars.

"Whether it be the fact that she is a reality star, a single mother, or the inevitable reminder that she was a former stripper ... it does nothing to change the narrative that just maybe the Oscars indeed are 'so white.'"

Maybe she'll get nominated for an NAACAP Award for "further highlighting the fight that many African Americans in the Entertainment Industry face."
