Jason Mitchell Opens Up About Sexual Misconduct Allegations

While the rest of Hollywood seemed to have "dropped" him, Jason Mitchell was welcomed to the Breakfast Club table to speak on his recent challenges.

Sexual misconduct allegations widely affected the former The Chi actor to the point where he's been looked at as a bit of a pariah. The public has also seemed to make their judgement about Mitchell very clear, even though he claims he doesn't even "100% know what the allegations themselves were." In the first interview since these allegations hit, Jason is explaining his side.

The actor described an incident where he was in pre-production for upcoming film, Desperados, when he went out with a co-worker. He claimed the young lady got drunk and he felt it was his "responsibility" to watch out for her since they were in the foreign land of Mexico City. Unfortunately, making sure she got home was a pivotal moment he didn't expect to blow up his career.

"The next day, they cancelled rehearsal and everything and they came to me and were like, 'Jason, we need to talk to you about this activity that went on.' So I told them my side of the story but it still felt as if - I don't know if there was something that I missed, something that wasn't said, but...they weren't exactly specific with me about anything. I was little baffled by that."

Without, apparently, even fully understanding what he was being accused of, Jason took the payment for his role in full and was terminated from the project.

"I just want to jump there out and say, for anybody who's ever been around me, they know I'm one of the most loving, sweet people in the world. But if I did do anything, say anything, make anybody feel any kind of way, you have my deepest apologies. Honestly. My deepest apologies because that was never my intention to make anyone feel any sort of way."

Watch the full interview with Jason Mitchelle to see how he's handling single fatherhood, his side about the claims from The Chi's Tiffany Boone, comments on Lena Waithe's role in a previous misconduct claim from another former co-worker and the real reason he was let go off the SHOWTIME series.
