Rod Wave Reportedly Arrested In Georgia For 14 Felony Charges

Rod Wave is reportedly facing 13 felony charges after he was arrested in Georgia this week.

According to a report AllHipHop published, the Florida native, born Rodarius Marcell Green, was apprehended by police in Fulton County on Tuesday, May 20. Rod Wave was hit with 14 felony charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during a felony, pointing a gun at another person, criminal damage to property, reckless conduct and tampering with evidence. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on April 21, which led to him breaking the terms of his bond.

"There is no truth to these charges," his attorneys Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg told TMZ. "Rod Green was a victim of a burglary and committed no crimes. How he was even charged as a result of this situation is incomprehensible. This will absolutely be resolved favorably to Mr. Green."

The incident in question happened at Rod Wave's home in the Atlanta area. The "25" rapper visited the property with his realtors and associates after the home was robbed. While carrying items out of the house, Rod Wave and one of his associates got into an argument. That's when he allegedly pulled out a Glock 20 10mm semiautomatic pistol and opened fire. Police alleged Rod fired 14 rounds in total, with 11 hitting his associate's 2025 Mercedes G Wagon, one round striking his 2022 Rolls-Royce, and one round hitting the wall of his home. The last round has not been located yet.

Police claim Rod Wave tried to pick up all the shell casings and escape after neighbors reported the shooting. The incident was an apparent violation of an active bond order he received following a battery incident in October 2020. After an arrest warrant was issued, Rod Wave was picked up by police on Tuesday. He was released the same day after he posted a $50,000 bond.

Rod Wave was arrested twice since he was released on bond in 2020. He was apprehended last April and charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He also got arrested in 2022 for allegedly choking his ex-girlfriend, however, prosecutors said they wouldn't pursue the case.
