The famed tennis player confirmed the unfortunate news in an Instagram Story on Monday, January 6. In her post, Osaka reassured fans that there's "no bad blood" between them and called him an "awesome dad" to their daughter, Shai.

"Hi everyone, just wanted to say that Cordae and I are no longer in a relationship," she wrote. "No bad blood at all, he's a great person and an awesome dad. Naomi Osaka and Cordae first went public at a Los Angeles Clippers game in 2019 after they kept their relationship private for about a year. The couple attended several high-profile events together including the Met Gala in 2021. Things got even more serious after the couple welcomed their first daughter together in 2023. While she was pregnant, Osaka said she strived to be the best version of herself for her daughter.

"I would say for me, I just want to be the best version of myself," she said, per People. "Obviously, I've never been a mother before so I'm taking it day-by-day and just trying to be someone that my son or daughter will be proud of," she said.

As of this report, Cordae has not publicly addressed the breakup.
