A bus was set on fire and looters raided a Nike store in Los Angeles after belligerent fans celebrated the Los Angeles Dodgers' World Series victory Wednesday (October 30) night.

The Los Angeles Police Scanner X account shared footage showing a mob of looters stealing merchandise from a boarded-up Nike store located about four miles from Dodger Stadium at around 11:00 p.m. PT, hours after the team won Game 5 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium in New York. The Los Angeles Police Department said it was "aware of the looting" and several arrests were reportedly made, however, the number of suspects taken into custody wasn't disclosed.

Police also confirmed that "several businesses" were looted and multiple properties were "vandalized" during what they described as "violent celebrations" that took place throughout the city.

Aerial footage shared by KABC showed dozens of looters leaving the Nike store with boxes of stolen items.

The Los Angeles Police Department said it estimated between 200 and 300 people to be part of a "hostile crowd" responsible for lighting an MTA bus on fire about a mile away from Dodger Stadium at around 12:35 a.m. PT. The majority of the crowd were wearing Dodgers jerseys and other apparel during the incident.

The Dodgers rallied back from a 5-0 deficit in Game 5 with a five-run fifth inning before taking the lead in the seventh when Tommy Edman scored on a sacrifice fly hit by Mookie Betts. Betts reached on an infield single to give the Dodgers their first run, capitalizing on a lapsed play in which the Yankees left first base open after first baseman Anthony Rizzo fielded the ball just far enough away from the base. Freddie Freeman, who hit a home run in each of the first three games of the World Series and homered in four consecutive World Series games dating back to his 2021 World Series win as a member of the Atlanta Braves, singled to center, which scored Edman and Will Smith before Teoscar Hernández doubled to center, scoring Betts and Freeman.

Starting pitcher Walker Buehler earned the save, entering in the ninth inning despite having started Game 3 two days earlier. Reliever Lake Treinen earned his second win of the World Series, recording three strikeouts and one hit in 2.1 innings.

The Dodgers won their eighth World Series in franchise history, having last won during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, which was played in front of a limited capacity attendance.
