Country star Mickey Guyton revealed she went into early labor during her pregnancy after receiving backlash for calling out fellow artist Morgan Wallen for using the N-word.

During a recent appearance on "The Breakfast Club," Guyton opened up about the hardships she faced after speaking out against Wallen for his racial slur use in February 2021. At the time, Wallen was caught using the N-word in a video.

"The hate runs deep. Smfh," Guyton tweeted in response to the video. "This is not his first time using that ' unacceptable' racial slur and we all known that. So what exactly are y'all going to do about it? Crickets won't work this time. How many passes will you continue to give? Asking for a friend. No one deserves to be canceled [but] this is unacceptable."

Guyton broke down on "The Breakfast Club" as she tearfully recalled going into early labor after receiving backlash for holding Wallen accountable for his words.

The singer went on to explain that her husband and fans kept her going amid the backlash. Guyton also recognized that there has been "so much change" in the country music world since the incident.

"I've been going to CMA Fest for years and I saw nobody. Now there are so many different Black country artists that are coming and being on stages and getting to sing on stages. There's Black people that are attending CMA Fest that feel like there's a space for them," Guyton said.

"Yes change is slow, it's hard, there's so much going on that can be very discouraging, but there's so many things that are happening because we're still here and still fighting," she added.

Guyton made "The Breakfast Club" appearance while promoting her upcoming album, House On Fire, which drops on Friday (September 27).
