Cardi B's fans are not happy after she shared a disappointing update about her long-awaited album.

On Tuesday morning, May 14, the "Hot Sh!t" rapper responded to a post on X that suggested she should "pull back from social media platforms." Not only did she agree, but she also confirmed the status of her sophomore album.

“Exactly and I tell myself this all the time..and I hate that I fall back and start interacting again and it bites me in the ass…” Cardi wrote. “anyway NO album this year I don’t care I’m relaxing this year.. Dropping these features I already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer.”

Cardi B made the revelation about her album following a tense exchange between with a fan on X. The fan began the feud by mocking Cardi's previous plans to release the album. Once she discovered the post, Cardi continued to bicker with the fan and made headlines in the process.

The Grammy award-winning rapper has been teasing the album's release for quite some time. Following the release of numerous singles over the past few years, fans actually believed it was arriving last year when she dropped "Bongos" with Megan Thee Stallion. At the time, she told The Breakfast Club about the project and said there would be about 18-20 songs. However, months went by without an update.

Fans got hype about the album again when she dropped songs like "Enough (Miami)" and "Like What" earlier this year. Even her husband Offset encouraged her to release the album. Although she continued to fuel the hype by hopping on collaborations with Shakira and Flo Milli, Bardi still feels reluctant to release the project. During a conversation on X Spaces, Bardi seemingly suggested that she didn't want to premiere the album in the middle of the high-profile beef between Drake, Kendrick Lamar and others.

"Y'all want me to drop a whole f**king album when everybody is focusing on this f**king crazy ass beef," she said. "Make it make sense."

It looks like the Bardi Gang will have to wait a little bit longer for her next LP. See what the Bardi Gang is saying about the delayed album below.
