Here Are 2021's Best Coffee Cities in America, According To New Study

National Coffee day is almost here. In honor of the special occasion, WalletHub conducted a study to determine 2021's Best Coffee Cities in America. The results may surprise you.

To determine the best local coffee scenes in America, WalletHub compared the 100 largest cities across 12 key indicators of strong coffee culture, including coffee shops, coffee houses, and cafés per capita to the average price per pack of coffee. Here's what they found.

Top 10 Cities for Coffee Lovers:

10) Boston, MA

9) San Diego, CA

8) Miami, FL

7) Tampa, FL

6) Honolulu, HI

5) Pittsburgh, PA

4) Orlando, FL

3) Seattle, WA

2) San Francisco, CA

Coffee lovers will likely be surprised New York City didn't make the top ten. The Big Apple came in at number twenty, behind some surprise locations like Jersey City, NJ, and Minneapolis, MN.

The study was also able to determine a few fun facts about coffee culture around the United States. Kansas City, Missouri, has the lowest average price for a pack of coffee at $3.44, which is 2.5 times lower than in Honolulu, the city with the highest at $8.69. Orlando, Florida, has the most coffee shops, coffee houses, and cafés per square root of population, while Portland, Oregon, has the most coffee and tea manufacturers per square root of population.
