DaBaby has reportedly been arrested for possession of a loaded and concealed firearm, TMZ reports.
On Thursday (January 7), the “Suge” rapper and several members of his crew were captured on video being detained by police in Beverly Hills, where the superstar and his posse had been on a shopping spree on Rodeo Drive. Various outlets reported that an employee at the Gucci store where DaBaby had shopped called the police to report that someone in his group was carrying a gun in their waistband.
Footage from TMZ's video captured the arrest, showing the 29-year-old entertainer leaving the Moncler store in the backseat of a vehicle before several cops surrounded their car. From there, two police officers escort DaBaby out of the vehicle in handcuffs before lining him and his crew up against a wall while they searched the car, where they allegedly found a 9mm firearm, according to CBS Los Angeles.
By the looks of the footage, it appears everyone in the car was being detained, the clip ends with only DaBaby being taken away by police.
As yet, it’s reported that DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Kirk, is being held on $35,000 bail.
This isn’t the first instance in which the “BOP” emcee has run into trouble with the cops, having previously been arrested in Miami a year ago for battery in connection to a robbery investigation.
