Nicki Minaj Calls Out Cardi B On Social Media, Cardi (Sort Of) Reacts

On Thursday (April 12), Nicki Minaj released two new singles titled "Barbie Tingz" and "Chun-Li." Due to the tracks -- which dropped after Minaj disappeared from social media since late 2017 -- the rapper's fans have proclaimed today to be #NickiDay.

However, it isn't without some controversy. Promoting the two singles, which iHeartRadio world premiered, Minaj did a radio interview speaking about events that led to the creation of "Chun-Li." According to the artist, fellow New York rapper Cardi B said some things in a previous interview that hurt Minaj's feelings

While speaking about "MotorSport" back in October, Cardi said, "When I heard the track, her verse wasn't finished. It was not the verse that's on it right now." So today, Minaj reacted to those words: “The only thing with Cardi that really, really, really hurt my feelings was the first interview she did after ‘MotorSport’ came out. With ‘MotorSport,’ I kinda felt ambushed. The first thing that came out of her mouth about a Nicki Minaj feature was ‘she changed the verse’ … When it was time to clear the air about that, no one did that. All of them allowed me to look like I lied.”

Minaj continued: “Up until this recent interview that she did, I had never seen her show me genuine love," Minaj said with tears forming in her eyes. "I could just imagine how many girls wish they could have been on a song with Nicki Minaj. I’m not saying in it a cocky way, but yikes … It’s because of the Nicki hate train that she felt like she could speak about me in that manner."

Now, Minaj has taken to Twitter to call out Cardi about her comments in that interview. "How can you say someone changed their verse & forget to say Quavo TOLD me to remove my singing part (which I loved) & Atlantic told me to remove your name from my verse per your request?" Minaj tweeted. "So how were those changes gonna happen if I didn’t “change” my verse?" See that message below!

Cardi has yet to respond. Instead, she posted a video of herself dancing to "Drip" and retweeted a fan's tweet about her song "Bickenhead." Check those #TeamUnbothered posts out below.

We know that Cardi will have more to say soon. We'll be waiting...
